Egis Appoints Jon Moretta as Chief Executive Officer in the United States

Seasoned executive brings more than 35 years of experience leading growth, operations, and complex businesses across infrastructure, engineering, and industrial markets.

Egis, a leading global architecture, consulting, construction engineering, and operations firm, today announced the appointment of Jon Moretta as Chief Executive Officer of Egis in the United States. In this role, Moretta will lead the company’s U.S. platform, with a focus on strengthening client relationships, expanding capabilities, and bringing together Egis’ local expertise and global resources to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions.

Moretta brings more than 35 years of executive leadership experience spanning engineering, operations, business development, capital project delivery, technology, and sustainability. He joins Egis from Parsons Corporation, where he held increasingly senior leadership roles with responsibility for strategy, growth, operations, and full P&L performance across federal, critical infrastructure, and industrial markets. Throughout his career, Moretta has built and led high-performing teams, grown profitable operations, developed new markets and technologies, and delivered major programs for public and private sector clients.

“The United States is central to Egis’ growth ambitions across the Americas, and Jon brings the strategic perspective, commercial discipline, and people-focused leadership needed to accelerate our progress,” said Alaa AbuSiam, Chief Executive Officer of Egis in the Americas. “His record of leading people and organizations through growth and creating lasting value for clients makes him exceptionally well suited to lead our U.S. organization. I look forward to working with Jon as we deepen our client partnerships, expand our capabilities, and create new opportunities for our people.”

“Operating in the U.S. since 1944, Egis has a compelling combination of deep local expertise, global capabilities, and a clear commitment to addressing the complex infrastructure and sustainability challenges facing communities,” said Moretta. “I am excited to join the team, meet with our employees and clients, and build on the strong foundation already in place as we pursue this next phase of growth and opportunity.”

Moretta holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with honors from the University of Michigan.
