Ashok Perera Joins Egis as National Technical Director for Water and Environment Practice
Egis is pleased to announce that Ashok Perera, PE, ENV SP, has joined the firm as National Technical Director for the Water and Environment Practice.
Ashok brings more than 30 years of experience designing and delivering municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. He has led large, multidisciplinary teams and managed complex, high-profile programs for public-sector clients across the U.S. His expertise spans technical delivery, business management, regional operations leadership, and resource planning and forecasting.
In this role, Ashok will partner closely with the National Water and Environment Practice Director to advance technical excellence and strengthen engineering capabilities across the practice. He will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of complex programs nationwide and fostering consistency in quality, innovation, and technical performance. In collaboration with Egis technical leaders globally, Ashok will help integrate best practices, advanced technologies, and specialized expertise into the U.S. water delivery platform.

Ashok is a licensed professional engineer in Texas, Nevada, and Maryland and holds an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) certification through the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI). He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and currently serves on the Water Environment Federation’s Collection Systems Committee.
