Lochner’s Mike Persyn Featured in Underground Infrastructure

Recently, Lochner’s Water/Wastewater Practice Lead, Mike Persyn, PE, was featured in the August 2025 issue of Underground Infrastructure magazine. His authored article, “Put the Money Where the Pipe Is: Optimizing Wastewater Pipeline Rehabilitation Projects,” addresses one of the most pressing issues facing municipalities today—how to maximize limited resources while tackling aging infrastructure.

In the article, Mike explores how conventional rehabilitation approaches can drive up costs through redundant mobilizations, permitting, and traffic disruptions. He highlights a better approach: packaging adjacent pipeline segments together to streamline work and reduce inefficiencies.

Mike’s perspective reflects Lochner’s commitment to supporting communities do more with every infrastructure dollar. By pairing practical solutions with technical expertise, his article provides actionable insights for utilities and municipalities across the country.
